Hothead revealed DeathSpank’s third (and possibly last) game titled: The Baconing.

Set for this Summer for Xbox Live, PSN, PC and Mac the title features a handful of new areas to explore, a brand new sidekick named “Bob from Marketing,” and a quartet of new bosses to battle.

Hothead states that this game will be “more satisfying to play than last year’s games” and also promises gamers will feel “more in control” of DeathSpank’s moveset with an overhauled combat system.

This will be the first game in the series Hothead have made without Ron Gilbert, so it will be interesting to see how this game turns out.

Sequel to 2010’s Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers, ‘2012’ is due out in a few weeks on June 15th in the US, assuming a few days later in other areas and if PSN is back online then.

The game boasts “new game modes, Planeswalker opponents, decks, puzzle challenges” as well as Archenemy, a new format supposedly  unique to the title where players team up against one AI opponent, also there has been a much rumored ‘reward’ for existing players of the original game, although not much as known about that so far.

Oddworld Inhabitants plans to release the HD remake of the fantasy-themed third-person shooter Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath on PS3 this summer coupled with Just Add Water had previously expressed interest in patching the existing PC version with the PS3 remake’s improvements.

Oddworld Inhabitants also re-confirmed its intention to release Munch’s Oddysee on PSN in the autumn.

Apparently the 7 year old rival to Steam Direct2Drive has been sold by IGN to GameFly, who primarily specialize in game rentals by post in the US.

According to Rock Paper Shotgun this may have something to do with a resent partnership with Gamestop and Direct to Drive may have been ‘getting in the way’, or may be just D2D wasn’t competitive enough despite the current flurry of offers this past couple of weeks over Facebook

How this affects the site outside the US is unknown, nor do the users know if their purchases are truly ‘Download Today. Own Forever’

Trion Worlds announced over Facebook that as part of a ‘gift’ to it’s user base server transfers in the advent of patch 1.3.

“Long time coming” players have said, however there is a twist in this tale, not only are these transfers free, but can be done one per character per 7 days within select servers within the player’s server territory, guild leaders can also move their guild’s level across with them too.

“MMOs are all about playing with your friends no matter which server they’re on, and that’s why we’re offering this as a free service to our subscribers,” said Scott Hartsman, the Executive Producer. “RIFT is both a game and a service, and adding free server transfers is just one more way we can make this the best possible MMO experience available.”

The Facebook page then goes on to say: “Character transfers will remain a free service for the foreseeable future, and could become a permanent addition to the RIFT experience.  Subscribers will be able to perform the transfers inside of the game itself once the patch is live.”

No you have not just witnessed a gaming equivalent of the Rapture, but Hellgate: London is returning.

Hellgate: London was the poster child of Flagship Studios, however due to negative responses to their ‘freemium’ online play and financial issues, Flagship sank, selling off both Hellgate and Mythos to buyers overseas.

Much like the return to Mythos, Hellgate is being brought back from the dead by HanbitSoft and T3Fun and closed beta application can be found on the Hellgate site which is due to be June 3rd to June 5th.

It seems the Xbox Live Market place is down.

“Users may experience difficulties with the following services: Browsing Indie Games from the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com, browsing the Games for Windows – LIVE Marketplace on a PC, Browsing Games Marketplace from the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.”, a statement issued by Microsoft to Eurogamer a few minutes ago.

Is it a glitch? Or is MS trying to sweep an attempt at their servers under the rug? Will we get Undertow 2 released as a gift? Who knows..
