It’s not very common for me to get what I want and this is becoming a habit for Capcom – Following in the footsteps of Super Street Fighter 4 and despite their insistence that the game would only be the one Marvel vs Capcom 3 gains a ‘Ultimate’ version, hitting shelves in November at a cheaper price point no less.

Here is the kicker though – the game not only features character balances, spectator mode, 12 new characters but also the DLC characters as well apparently, so again we question why Capcom release this at a cheaper price point given in total cost it’s actually almost half the price of the original if you just include the original character DLC.

Capcom intended to release the character information on a trickle again but again thanks to bad coding on their website all 12 new characters were all over the net in no time, here they come below

Marvel:

  • Ghost Rider
  • Dr Strange
  • Nova
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Hawkeye
  • Iron Fist

Capcom

  • Strider
  • Firebrand
  • Vergil
  • Frank West
  • Phoenix Wright
  • Nemesis

Now those of you in the know will notice those names aren’t too big of a shock considering a few have already popped up within the game before (SPOILER: The Dante ending is funny with one of them) but also the fact a few of those names have also appeared in leaked beta footage of the original title, was this planned all along, or did player demand really require the game to be rewritten and balanced? Of course balance patches and DLC is out of the question – that is normally on disk isn’t it Capcom?
