Sony unveils the new and intuitive ‘Video Unlimited’ service for its PlayStation 3 gaming console, which offers a unique ‘sort’ feature to help users easily access video content.
With the release of the PSP came the XMB interface which with its simplistic navigation style and attractiveness was most likely the main reason it was kept for the PS3, but after navigating through a heirachy of sub menu after sub menu it can all become a bit of a textual blur.
Sonys long needed interface update offers a more accessible approach to choosing content available to the user through organised menus similar to that of the xbox live marketplace, the new update also introduces a streamlined search function and content suggestions based on the current items tagged themes, an added feature includes a history function where by pressing start shows you a path of how you got to your current page and allows you to easily backtrack your steps.
Playstation Plus subscribers can get an early preview application of the new interface,

After what seems to be an eternity the general public finally has full access to Dominion, the new game mode coming to League Of Legends. With over a year in the making, Dominion has to be the largest expansion yet attempted on the title, so what does this entail?
Well for one thing player are treated to a whole new map known as The Crystal Scar – whereby players battle it out for control over 5 control points, accumulating points better possession. From my time in the Beta for it I must say its pretty entertaining, with fast and furious matches which allow for spectacular last minute comebacks. The problem is (as always) in the balance, and how it requires a different playstyle from the traditional DotA type game with more aggressive team based co-ordination.
I doubt many people will complain however, as its a much needed distraction from the repeditive nature of standard League Of Legends matches, which only contains two maps.
Just announced today on the official blog is the release date and subscription prices for The Old Republic. It seems the title is confirmed for release a mere 3 days before Christmas in European territories, on the 22nd of December 2011 (whilst North America gets it on the 20th). This is obviously a move to take advantage of the extremely profitable Christmas trade, but will releasing the game just days before the celebration be too late to capitalise on it fully?
Also confirmed in the announcement was that the subscription would cost:
1 Month Subscription: $14.99 (£8.99/€12.99)
3 Month Subscription: $13.99 per month (one-time charge of $41.97/£25.17/€35.97)
6 Month Subscription: $12.99 per month (one-time charge of $77.94/£46.14/€65.94)
Seems pretty standard fare to me, but I wonder how early people with Pre-Orders will get to access to the game?
First off – WHY HAVE I NOT HAD MY INVITE YET BLIZZARD?
Anyway Blizzard sent out their first batch of Beta Invites to Diablo III yesterday, those who where lucky enough to get the invite check your emails and download the client asap, from what I’ve heard from Lets Play Videos (thank you Total Biscuit) it’s a 90 minute ‘demo’ only leading up to a major boss fight.
If the rest of the content unlocks at a later date I’ll let you know

After an exhausting weekend which encompassed the preparation and attendance of Game’s successful first convention GAMEfest and the birthday of yours truly, I have for you here the first of our event content. Over the course of the next two weeks we’ll be rolling out some exciting impressions, previews and photos of our time at GAMEfest, including a roundup of our experience there.
First up however is a first impressions of our quick playthrough of Street Fighter X Tekken. This much anticipated title was first announced at Comic-Con 2010 where Yoshinori Ono (hilariously dressed as Ryu from Street Fighter) and Katsuhiro Harada (dressed as Heihachi from Tekken), unleashed some early gaming footage and the first teaser trailer. The game was shown to be essentially a Street Fighter game with the Tekken characters thrown into the mix. Also revealed at Comic-Con was that Namco would develop a sister game under the title of Tekken X Street Fighter, which adversely would feature the fighting system of Tekken and presence of Street Fighter characters. This undoubtably caused a media whirlwind of speculation and much fan debate.
Plotting away myself and Fatal ran off to Gamefest yesterday at the NEC Birmingham – good news is as you can tell we have swag, better news is we have content to give you over the next few weeks with hands on impressions of Ridge Racer: Unbounded, Street Fighter X Tekken, Soul Calibur 5, Zelda: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Racket and Clank: All 4 One, Dark Souls, Rayman Origins, Tekken Tag 2, and much much more..
Not only today is the final day of Steam’s Paradox Interactive’s Sale, but today only you can get 75% off Magicka’s (almost) complete bundle right now if you haven’t already got the game, why am I telling you this you already have the game, right?
Not only that but today is yet another release of ‘gamer’ themed robes in Magicka’s Gamer Bundle pack, which features a Zombie, Tentacle and Epic Robes, nodding to Half Life, Day of the Tentacle and MMORPG gaming BUT that is not the only thing, for free you get a Tron themed Robe with laser disk and I kid you not a Space Marine Robe (Librarian to be more clear) that towers over all complete with a Bolter Gun which sets fire to anything in it’s path – Fatal is ‘squeee’ing as we speak
