I found this recipe at Noble Pig while Stumbling, and decided I had to try it. After all, what’s better than pizza? Pizza that looks kinda healthy!  Of course her’s look far better than mine, but they still taste just as nice. I didn’t have any peperoni or mozzarella so I made do with chorizo and cheddar, and with some help from Neothermic to set up the camera for the youtube vid (to be released shortly), I set to it.

Pizza Puffs

Ingredients:

  • 70g plain flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon or ~3ml baking powder
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 100g sliced chorizo

Method:

Mix together the flour and baking powder, then the egg and milk, followed by the cheese and meat. (Here the recipe says to let it stand for 10 minutes, presumably to let everything infuse, however I only let it stand for a few mins while I sorted out a hick-up in recording – however it was around 30°c when I made this so it probably sped up the process anyway). Give it another stir then divide the mix into a lightly greased muffin tray and cook at 190°c for around 20-25 minutes. Serve with herby ketchup/ pizza sauce.

Where I to make these again, I might add dried tomatoes, or cherry tomato halves. I would also put them in cake cases as, even greased, they were a pain to get out. They are definitely delicious though 🙂
